Money money money

Something made me laugh this evening. There are two different types of 5 rand coins here. The newer ones have two metal colours much like a £2 coin. These were produced to prevent forgeries of the simpler older coins but the absurd thing according to Wayne, a South African staying at Bob's, is that they cost the Government more than 5 rand to produce.

Wayne is a Johannesburg man and we spent the evening talking to him and Bob about the ANC and the failings of the Government - both seem to share Joan's views. We also spent some time teaching Wayne the rules of Shithead, the card game we have been playing in the bush for the last two weeks.
